Each year I look forward to the new year. I love January for multiple reasons. First and foremost it is my birthday month. Regardless of how old I am, I love celebrating my birthday. At the end of the month, I will be turning 39. This decade has had its ups and downs but I am determined to make my last year in it the best it can be.
The second reason I love January is because this is the month I adopted and said goodbye to the best dog in the world, Velvet. I adopted her January 3, 2003 and sent her to Rainbow Bridge January 3, 2015. I will always cherish the 12 years we spent together and remember all the lives we changed working together.
The last reason is that I was diagnosed with Leukemia in January. This month I will be celebrating my 25th cancerversary which is a huge accomplishment and something I have always looked forward to. This year is particular is special, because this is the year I will be publishing my book Faith Hope & Cancer and sharing God’s greatness by sharing my story with the world.
