Why I started a Sponsor a Book?
I was pleasantly surprised when I was contacted by Suzanne, from Ladybug House, with a request to donate books for their families. I immediately wanted to find a way to make this happen.
I am hopeful that ‘Sponsor a Book’ will be successful, and other nonprofit organizations will be able to receive Faith, Hope and Cancer for the people they serve.
What does it mean to Sponsor a Book?
For every $5 donated, I will donate a book to an individual with a life-threatening disease to offer hope and encouragement.
What does your donation cover?
Your donation covers the cost of the book and shipping fees.
Who will receive the sponsored books?
These books will be available to nonprofit organizations that focus on improving the lives of individuals’ with life-threatening illnesses and their families. These organizations don’t have the funds to purchase them for the individuals/families they serve.
Recipients:
Our first recipient of the Sponsor a Book Program, is the Ladybug House. They are a nonprofit based in Washington State. They are requesting 20 books to be given to their families, knowing Faith, Hope and Cancer would offer hope and inspiration.
Ladybug House is building Washington’s first family-centered respite care home for children, adolescents, and young adults with life-threatening illnesses. Their mission is to bridge the gap between home and hospital for children with life-threatening diseases, all at no cost to the families.
“When medicine can no longer add days to the life of a child, Ladybug House will add life to their days” – Suzanne, Founder
